10 Things You Need to Treat Yourself With After the Bar Exam

For those of you that took the bar exam - CONGRATS! Regardless of the results, you made it this far and that is a huge accomplishment. This may be one of the most stressful times of a young lawyers life.

After you take the bar exam, it is never a bad idea to treat yourself for all of the hard work you put in. Many students end up taking a "bar trip" and travel before they start their jobs. If you don't have the money to take a big trip, you can still treat yourself on a budget

I asked some of my close friends and co-workers what they did after they took the bar exam and most of them said they went shopping or to the spa. Here is a compilation of the top 10 things to treat yourself to (or a loved one) after the horrendous exam:

A new TV

Now that the bar is over, it is time to binge watch all of those shows that you have been putting off. What better way to do this than on a new TV that you treated yourself to. There are some really great deals going on right now from Toshiba and TCL. Personally, I use the Toshiba fireTV and I LOVE IT.

A Day at the Spa
This might seem obvious, but what better way to try to relax after all of that studying and preparing then to spend the day at a spa. Groupon has really great deals for spas all around the country for things such as: massages, manicures and pedicures, facials, and more!

Bath Bomb Kits:
If the spa is too expensive - another great way to relax is with scented bath bombs. Amazon has some of my favorite bath bombs which I showed below. I also really love anything from Lush. It is the best at helping you relax and unwind!

A New Laptop:
After 3 years of law school and bar prep - it might be a great idea to update your laptop to the newest and best version. I personally use a Mac and I love how it integrates with my phone and iPad. I have also used a Lenovo, which has also been really great. Either way, this is a great time to upgrade before you start your career.

Beats Headphones:
This is another product that I am constantly talking about. Beats Headphones are some of the best quality headphones on the market. Not only do I love the style, but they cancel all noise around you. They are perfect for people that love to workout or simply just tune out the world for a little while.

Amazon Echo:
The new Echo products make your life so much easier. Everyone I know that owns one tells me that they are lifesavers. The new echos can also tell you the weather, do video chats, act as alarm clocks, make grocery lists, and control things around your home. They are amazing.

Kindle E-Reader:

What better way to celebrate being done with studying than to do some more reading - just kidding. But really, I have a kindle and it is one of my favorite things that I own. It is a great way to read your favorite books on the go while also saving the planet.

iPad or Tablet
Having an iPad or a Tablet is a great idea for young lawyers. It is a quick and easy way to carry around notes, meet with clients, and have all of your documents in one place.

Apple Watch
This is my personal favorite as it is perfect for a busy on-the-go person! Honestly, I don't have one myself, but I am planning to get one once I graduate law school or take the bar. They have a million features that include tracking your exercise, integrating with iPhone messages, and soooo much more.

MontBlanc Pen
I have written about these pens before, but they are the best of the best. MontBlanc pens are the highest quality German pens that you can find. My boss has one that he uses to sign important documents and while it may not seem practical to spend this much on a pen - he told me his has lasted him over 20 years. There are also options to get it engraved, so maybe that is something to check out as well.

Leather Briefcase
Yeah, I know it is not as exciting as an Apple Watch, but having a nice leather briefcase is something that will help you throughout your career and last you a lifetime.
